According to the Federal Reserve Board, the past 10 years have seen the costs of rental housing in the US increase an average of 3% per year. The report predicts that this year alone we will see an increase of 4.1% in rents across America. Miami Beach real estate investors are saying that because of these increases in rents that it is a better investment to buy a home instead of rent. Going from the report by the Federal Reserve Board, a 3% annual increase on a rent payment of $1,000 per month would increase every year and amount to $137,567 after 10 years and that is with no wealth accumulation.
