Hurricane Proofing No Problem

Since Hurricane Andrew swept through South Florida Miami Beach homes builders have been putting in the extra money to hurricane proof their homes. Back then experts were say that by doing so they would be driving up Miami Beach real estate prices and the “Average Joe” wouldn’t want or be able to afford homes in Miami. Now, we are 700,000 new residents later and South Florida’s housing boom seems to have survived. Now, residents are looking at a few thousand dollars to storm proof their homes. With Florida’s real estate market booming the way it has, the average price of a new home is $600,000 and none are complaining.
