North Miami Beach Zoning

Final approval was given by the North Miami Beach Council to zones for buildings as high as 24 stories in some areas in North Miami Beach. This approval was given despite last minute negotiations with objectors of the plans. Opponents are pushing a petition to limit building heights at 75 feet in the Planned Use Development areas where the city wants to encourage mixed use developments of condos and stores.
